Slow down and simplify if he doesnt understand and get him infront of people places and things those are huge in making a well rounded dog. Don't get to hung up on the retrieving part of it bc kobe definitely has the drive. Make sure your 1 and the retrieve is secondary and don't get frustrated if he doesn't get it right those are teaching moments and without those it's hard for the dog to learn exactly what your asking.

I was out in the middle of a field scouting about a half mile from my truck when i got the warning on my phone. Ive never ran so fast in my life. Drove right into an area that had a funnel cloud coming down and had to take shelter in a gas station with about 50 other people. Pretty crazy night. Definitely rattled me.

For my pup it made it mich easier to never repeat myself (say no if they dont do the trick in 5 ish seconds) and to have a gesture as well. Good luck training that smart little pup! Hes doing so well already!
